LogiCore Remembers the Pearl Harbor Attack 75 years Later
Seventy-five years ago today, the Imperial Japanese Navy led a surprise military strike on the Pearl Harbor naval base in Hawaii. Worsening relations between the United States and Japan had finally come to a head, resulting in America’s official entry into World War II.
Until December 7, 1941, the United States had been a neutral power in the war. This all changed when Japanese fighter planes began bombing the naval base early in the morning. In two hours, battleships, airplanes, and other vessels were destroyed. Over 2,000 American soldiers and civilians were killed, with more than 1,000 injured.
The “date which will live in infamy” is remembered as one of the most brutal attacks on American soil. The events that stem from Pearl Harbor are shining examples of American heroism in the face of WWII’s Axis Powers. We also remember this day as a defining moment in American and military history.
In remembrance, LogiCore would like to pay tribute to those who lost their lives on December 7, 1941 at Pearl Harbor by thanking them for their bravery and sacrifice!
