National Aviation Day is a celebration of all things related to aviation and is held on the anniversary of Orville Wright’s birthday – 146 years ago on August 19 in Dayton, Ohio.
The observance began in 1939 by Presidential Proclamation as a celebration for those who helped pioneer aviation and to celebrate the growth and advancements made in aviation in the United States.
In recent years, advancements in aviation have brought about the development of the biggest passenger airplanes, and the fastest, most agile and stealthiest fighters. The coming decade promises breakthroughs in combat-ready unmanned aerial vehicles, commercial rocket planes, hypersonic jets, and more.
On August 19th, National Aviation Day, LogiCore would like to salute those who have driven advancements in aviation and have allowed mankind to reach beyond the clouds.
