Value Engineering (VE)

LogiCore provides engineering and logistics subject matter expertise to complete RDECOM AMRDEC VE/LCCR projects for Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) and related Program Executive Office (PEO) managed systems and their components, and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) managed items. |
LogiCore reviews and analyzes Logistics and Sustainment, Standardization, Life Cycle Cost Reduction program initiatives, Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM), and safety-related costs and performance data. We identify Logistics, obselence, and sustainment projects that support VE/LCCR initiatives, including the analysis and data necessary to complete approved projects using DoD, DA, AMC, AMCOM, RDECOM, and PEO guidelines. We provide input and recommendations for Logistics and sustainment services necessary for the advancement and completion of VEM-approved VE/LCCR projects.

To ensure the readiness of AMCOM and AMCOM-related weapon systems, LogiCore conducts Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) analyses during system design and development to design-in supportability and emplace a robust product support system. |
Our Logistics Analysts and Systems Engineers conduct Product Support Analysis and Business Case Analysis aimed at minimizing life cycle costs and optimizing logistics support concepts. We develop, measure, and adjust Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) strategies to optimize total system availability while reducing cost and the logistics footprint. The PBL support process—in addition to being identified as the Army's preferred sustainment method—provides critical inputs to the acquisition decision process and key elements in lowering life cycle costs.
